La Vie En Raw
If you are looking for a vegetarian restaurant in the Gables. This is one restaurant you'd want to pass. Just because it is vegetarian does not mean that it has to be tasteless... Although the choices sound good the flavors are way too bland. I've been to many restaurants that make their veggie dishes come to life! Unfortantaly, this is not one. If we are going to start a food revolution, we need to start it with bold and creative flavors. Blandness, will just not get us there!

Dr. Limon Ceviche Bar
If you're looking for a unique eats you have to try Dr. Limon. This Peruvian gem is located on 137th Avenue and 84 Street. The dishes are both delicious and beautifully presented. Must haves are: fish ceviche, shrimp/crab causa, and of course anything with Pisco (Pisco is a tasty liquor.). Still not sure on what to order? Try the chef’s special. Also, you can request the amount of heat you like on your food. But arrive early! This place is small and the wait can be very long. My congrats to the chef, for his creativity and his boldness.

Seasons 52 Fresh Grill & Wine Bar
Seasons 52
321 Miracle Mile
Coral Gables , FL 33134
Seasons 52 is housed in the heart of Coral Cables, right on Miracle Mile. The atmosphere is inviting, the bar is dim and delightful with a piano player at the bar. The menu changes with the Seasons, hence the name Seasons 52 (52 weeks in a year). What’s more is that every food on the menu is no more than 475 calories! Seasons 52 claims to be the pioneer, originator and founder of the mini indulgence (small portion size). Although, I’m not sure that is entirely true, they are definitely risky when it comes to preparing their dishes. An absolutely must try “Unique dish” of Seasons 52 is, the Buffalo (yes, Buffalo or Bison) Chili. If you’ve never tried Buffalo before, this is the place to expand your pallet. This bowl of chili is made with black beans, corn cake and cilantro sour cream. The meat is tender and delicious, when you put it in your mouth you say, WOW! I’m in Heaven! Also a must try is, the Somona Goat Cheese Ravioli. This giant luscious creamy ravioli sits on a bowl of tomato consommé and diced tomatoes. Light, simple and fresh. What more can you ask for? The dishes at Seasons 52 are outrageously yummy and sexy!

Previously Houston's, now Hillstone Coral Gables
201 Miracle Mile
Coral Gables, FL
If you are looking for a diverse American classic meal, Houston's in Coral Gables is a great place to start. I had the Famous French Dip Au Jus, slow roasted prime rib, thinly sliced, and piled high on a house made French roll. Delicious! It comes accompanied by a homemade horseradish creamy sauce and shoe string French fries. The Spicy Tuna Roll is also a must try. Finally, if you are a vegetarian as some of my friends are the Farmer's Market Vegetable platter rocks!
